Biography
Dr. Michalec (Ph.D. in Sociology, Emory, 2009) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at the University of Delaware. He came to UD in 2009 after graduating with a Ph.D. in Sociology from Emory University. His research interests include: socialization and professionalization processes of health occupation students, interactions in the health care setting, patient experiences of health and illness, and disparities in health.
